Anne Cheatham Valley Center Family Portraits - San Diego Family Photography
When Anne’s daughter and grandson were visiting town, she asked us to capture her family portraits at her peaceful Valley Center home.
When I met Anne, I realized she was someone who I would love to work with. She valued family, generosity, healing, and love…and I could feel those values the moment I stepped onto her beautiful Valley Center property. A ranch-style home complete with horses, mini horses, a bunny, and an extra barn filled with some of her mother’s vintage furniture (that we must photograph one day), Anne asked me if I could capture timeless yet modern and fun images for her and her daughter and grandson as they were taking a last minute trip from the north. I absolutely said yes, and I was honored to be able to deliver these photos to them.

San Diego Family Photography that’s easy (even when you have children and pets).
These days, photography has taken on a bit of a candid-style, and while I cherish those moments, my goal with Anne was to capture portraits that would be timeless for any decade, yet not absolutely boring either. Her grandson made the photoshoot so much fun and her dogs ran around as we found more places to photograph. In the end, with proper photoshoot preparation, we were able to capture photos that show her and her family’s true essence and personality.
